More than 150 people gathered last Friday night to celebrate the successes of our Monash business community.

Sea Urchin gallery restaurant, The Roe Australia (pictured above), took home the biggest award of the night as the 2023 Monash Business of the Year. StorageX received the Rising Star Award for a company less than three years old showing entrepreneurship and promise.

“A special congratulations to our Business of the Year, The Roe, for

their outstanding enterprise and socially responsible charter.”

MBA Chair Tom Pewtress.

Twenty businesses across seven categories made it through to the finals of 2023 Monash Business Awards (see the full list here). This year saw the return of two categories celebrating businesses in the Not-for-profit and Food Services sectors.

Huntingdale Golf Club hosted the celebrations with Candice Taylor as MC. The iCandy band entertained guests throughout the night.

MBA Chair Tom Pewtress said the atmosphere was fantastic.

‘The 2023 Monash Business Awards had a fantastic atmosphere, was well attended and supported by our sponsor partners and award nominees,’ Tom said. ‘Our MC, Candice Taylor and the iCandy band did a great job in providing the ambience for the night celebrating the success of businesses in Monash.

‘A special thank you to guests City of Monash Mayor Tina Samardzija, Cr. Theo Zographos and David Davis MLC for their attendance.

‘Finally, a special congratulation to our business of the year, The Roe, for their outstanding enterprise and socially responsible charter.’
